Any child under the age of 13 will need their parent's consent to apply for Fun Tyme Entertainment Awards. We will not except any application without full verification of age. If the applicant is under the age of 13 we will request an e-mail address of an adult guardian and/or parent of the under age applicant to gain consent to comply fully with the C.O.P.P.A. standards.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, effective April 21, 2000, applies to the online collection of personal information from children under age 13. The new rules spell out what a Web Site Operator must include in a privacy policy, when and how to seek verifiable consent from a parent and/or guardian and what responsibilities any operator has to protect children's privacy and safety online.
